Well Designed And Well Made
By Black Pony
It is gratifying to discover you have made a wise purchase. Over time I have bought many coffee presses and been disappointed. The concept of a coffee press is straight forward but finding a well designed and manufactured press seems elusive. There are MANY brands to choose and a wide range of pricing. There are brands which have been around for years and have name brand recognition. I have found these to be disappointing. They appear to be manufactured inexpensively and performance reflects that. This is not the case with the Cozyna. The online product description was accurate, as well as the reviews. The press is extremely well made, from the stand which supports the glass beaker, to the thickness of the glass. The handle is superior to those of other presses. Not too close to the glass, does not convey heat, and does not “wobble”. The lid to the press also reflects thought in design, by having the ability to retain heat while brewing and offering a strainer when pouring. The press mechanism itself is vastly superior to others, from the fitting and handle of the press shaft to it’s operation. The strainer fits perfectly (very important), and was supplied with two extra screens. Upon making the purchase, I received an email from the manufacturer which was sincere about their product and included directions for brewing. This press is certainly appropriately priced considering how well it is made, designed, packaged, shipped and personal contact from the manufacturer. If there was a 10 star rating available .. I would rate it 10 stars.

Super product
By saroesti
I am particular about my coffee. I get gourmet coffees sent to me and I’ve been using a French press for about 20 years after staying at a friend’s home in Europe and experiencing the difference. I’ve had 4 French presses throughout the years which were all made by the leading company. They would last a few years and something would break. I just bought the Cozyna and I already see that it is made differently and is a lot sturdier. It delivers a great cup of coffee and the company sent me 2 extra netted filters as a bonus in the box. I could see that it was packed with care. I don’t write long reviews, but sometimes you have to take a chance on something not so well known and I’m glad I did.

Works as well or better than more costly presses
By D. Blankenship
We actually now have four French Press coffee makers. We have a lot of company, we love coffee and tea and we love different blends of both. Our guests most certainly do We like to be able to offer a variety, something we cannot do if we use only the traditional coffee pot. We are also on the run a lot and have found using this method of making coffee is easier in that the quality of the finished product simply tastes better and in many ways is less hassle than making a full pot in one of our coffee makers.
Keep in mind that you can do either coffee or tea in these makers. I know it may just be all in our minds but we seem to prefer tea made from tea leaves rather than tea bags.
Now some of our French Press makers cost about three times what this thing does. I will be honest with you and admit that this little press does just as good a job, and at times better, than some of its expensive cousins. It is actually quite remarkable. The mesh filter is quite fine and we have had no problems what so ever with those annoying grounds or loose tea leaves floating here and there.
The maker is of stainless steel and extremely attractive; attractive enough that you do not mind it out in plane sight in your kitchen. It is as easy to clean as any of the makers of this ilk.
Now this comes with explicit directions for those who have never used one of these makers. Follow these well written and explicit directions and you simply cannot go wrong. The only thing you might want to adjust is the amount of coffee and tea you start with. This is due to the fact that different people have different tastes. Now I do have a couple of tips…
When you lower the plunger, do it very slowly. If you apply too much force you will chance having hot water all over the place and could well be burned. All presses are like this. It takes just a wee bit of practice.
When you clean the mesh filter, be sure you clean it well. Over time if cleaning is not done properly, the thing will clog up. That is the nature of coffee and tea to do this to filters.
Use very hot water but do not pour water into the press that is actually boiling…boiling water ruins the taste of the coffee or tea and unlocks oils that you really do not want.
If you don’t finish the entire pot before it starts to cool, simply place your coffee or tea cup in the microwave and reheat. It takes about 15 seconds.
This is a nice French Press at a very attractive price…you are getting a lot four your hard earned coin.
