Bought this for the 15 cup capacity and mostly for the programmable feature.
For 3 or so years we used mr. Coffee machines wherein the programmable feature self-destructs in 3-6 months. I decided to try a different brand of caffinating appliance 3 weeks ago and bought this Von Shef.
This decision has upset my daily routine in the following ways:
1) It does not leak coffee all over the counter top. I fear I will now acquire dust bunnies under the machine.
2) This coffee maker does not add grounds to my coffee. I had come to expect daily reminders to floss.
3) When one pulls the pot off the pad mid-brew, coffee does not rain down the sides of the carafe or onto the pad, leaving me little recourse but to neglect scrubbing the pad.
4) This device departs from the art of coffee-preparation. Who doesn’t love the puzzle of water-loss-calculation? Especially when half awake? Be warned: this machine makes 6 cups of coffe with 6 cups of water. It even makes 15 cups of coffee with 15 cups of water. I feel my years studying coffee-science are obsolete.
5) if you are like me and enjoy generous portions of cream in your coffee, you may be shocked to find that this device makes the coffee hot enough to withstand any milky assault. I, for my part, am quite certain to gain weight. To have all the cream I want AND hot coffee is an overwhelming temptation to face first thing in the morning. Cruel.
To summarize, I am of the opinion that the designers of this Von Shef coffee maker gave undue attention to making my mornings easier and tastier. This purchase exceeded my expectations of what is possible in this life.
BTW: it is 15 “cup”s. As defined by Von Shef their “cup” is 120ml. Coffee carafes are rarely, if ever, measured in us cups. This is roughly equivalent to 8 us cups. A standard Mr Coffee “12 cup” carafe is around 7 us cups. The product description is accurate for this product’s capacity, though misleading. I’m pretty sure it is somewhat the norm for carafe “measurement”. I love having a nice cup of coffee in the morning before heading out to work, and with the VonShef 15 Cup Coffee Maker, it’s now easier than ever to grab a cup before I run out the door. This coffee pot is fully programmable so you can set the exact time you want your coffee brewed, so it can be ready for you as soon as your eyes open in the morning!

The VonShef High Quality 15 Cup Coffee Maker has become one of my favorite kitchen appliances in my home. I enjoy having a cup of coffee before starting my day, but I would get lazy and not want to brew a cup because it took too much time out of my day. With the VonShef Coffee Maker I am able to set the exact time I want my brew to start (4:50 A.M.) and that way when I wake up at 5 A.M. my coffee is ready to go! This helps me save time and get a little energy before heading out for the day.
This coffee maker is great, it has an ability to make 15 cups of coffee which is perfect for when my family comes over since they are all coffee drinkers as well. Since I live alone, I tend to only fill it up to the 2 cup mark and that is perfect for me. I appreciate the fact that you are able to choose how much coffee to brew, it doesn’t just automatically brew as much as it wants to.
As funny as it sounds, I also enjoy the design of the VonShef Coffee Maker. My entire home has a black, white, and chrome theme so this coffee maker fits in perfectly. I am able to display it on my kitchen counter at all times, and it looks very stylish.
The VonShef 15 Cup Coffee Maker would be great for any coffee drinker. It saves time and effort for me every morning, and it has a high capacity. If you are an avid coffee drinker you can brew once for the whole day and be good to go! I received this product for evaluation, but these are my own opinions.

I was looking for a larger coffee maker and purchased this one. The difference between my old twelve cup maker and this fifteen cup maker is quite noticeable. This is a basic, but good coffee maker. It is easy to set the time and timer on this coffee maker. The clock is easy to read and has an indiglow backlight. The backlight comes on when a button is bressed and has delay before going off. The coffee maker does not leak. The pot pours with dripping. The water fill is through the top but fills easily from the left or right. It brews great! Coffee taste great. We grind high quality beans and notice no difference in flavor. I would highly recommend this coffee pot.
