Excellent coffee cone. I use it with Hario size 2 filters (I think it comes with a couple of the size 1’s); they fit better than the Melitta type ones you’ll find in stores, which will work, just not as good as the Hario’s.
My preferred method is to rinse the filter with boiling water, then put in the grinds, wet them a bit, leave them for 20-30 secs and then pour slowly, as you’ll see in the various videos about Hario filter brewers on youtube.
To cut a long story short, I guess it’s a product that’ll suit both coffee nerds on the move and people just looking for a practical coffee cone for lightweight camping, etc, and it’s much lighter than the various silicon ones by other manufacturers.

MAN! This thing is AWESOME! I love my coffee and when I’m doing a solo or a 2 day hike, I wanted something lite and easy. Instant coffee (brown hot water) is what I thought I was stuck with but now I know better. Makes coffee that tastes great, small and weighs nothing, and seems very durable. I wish I could give this more than 5 stars. Price was a little high I thought, but now I think it’s worth it.

best coffee in the backcountry! ive made dozens of cups of coffee when im on the road. and this is now my go to coffee maker. replacing the french press and the “cowboy coffee”
