This review is written from the viewpoint of my daughter. She is the one that tested this, I am the one that drank the coffee. Right out of the box, this Pyora french press is impressive. It just looks very sophisticated. It is made of glass and stainless steel, a combination that looks very good together and is easy to clean, unlike regular coffee pots and automatic tea kettles.
This french press came packaged in bubble wrap as I have shown in a picture below. It was very safely shipped and there wasn’t a single problem when it got here. Using it for the first time was… interesting. As I said, my daughter actually tested it and, well, she’s not a coffee drinker. Despite that, it did make good coffee! It was just a bit… strong. I would recommend starting with a smaller amount of coffee and only increase it if needed. This says to use eight teaspoons of coffee. If you like strong coffee, I would use that, but I would only use six or seven if you like a more mild coffee.
This french press is very easy to use, however. You just need to follow a few steps. First, heat your water. I heated mine in my tea kettle. While the water is heating, remove the plunger from the carafe and measure out your coffee or tea. Do not put the plunger back in at this point. Once your water is heated, leave it sitting for 15 seconds. After that, fill your carafe to an inch below the top, pretty much where the stainless steel band is. You need to stir your coffee or tea for 15 seconds before leaving it to steep or brew. That is so the coffee or tea will mix with the water. After that you put the plunger back on top of the carafe but DO NOT push it down yet. Leave your drink to brew or steep, 2 to 3 minutes for coffee and 1 to 7 minutes for tea. After that, you slowly push the plunger down to separate the drink and grounds and you’re ready to drink! All these instructions are on the box but I have seen some people confused by how it works.
The only problem I had was that I thought the plunger would go all the way to the bottom of the carafe. It doesn’t. It stops around an inch above it. That doesn’t really matter but it’s just something to know. Cleaning this french press is very easy! It only took me a couple minutes. Just use soap and water to clean off the grounds or tea and leave it out to dry. The last thing I want you to keep in mind is that this french press says it makes 8 cups. It makes 8 FOUR OUNCE cups, meaning it really makes 4 cups. But, the box does clearly say that their cups are based on a four ounce serving size so it is NOT false advertising, it’s just something to keep in mind.
Overall, I really love this french press! It’s a wonderful product and makes delicious coffee! I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a french press. I received this Pyora french press in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

My family loves to go camping and do all sorts of outdoor activities, and it seemed like this would be perfect for me, I just can’t live without my coffee in the morning! I could not believe how easy it was to make coffee in this french press. Like I said, I have never used one, and as you can see in the video above, my only mistake is I did not boil enough water, but even adding regular hot tap water, the coffee was still as good as I make in my coffee pot or Kuerig machine. This French Press is amazing! Since my husband and I started living an organic lifestyle, we had to put our Keurig up in the closet. My husband is a coffee drinker, but I love tea. This French Press is great for both of us. I love being able to make more than once glass of tea at a time with my loose leaf tea. This French Press allows the tea to steep without letting all of the loose pieces get into what you will drink. Also, my husband has been using it for coffee. It works so great! It’s very easy to wash as well. I’m so happy with this! I was very lucky to be able to purchase this at a discounted price in order to try it out and provide my honest opinion on it. Not only does it work well, but it looks great on the counter as well.
