I have had this brewer for 3 years+. It has always been perfect. We use the single K-cup brewer daily for the two of us… always fresh, hot coffee. We use the full pot side for company time. One heads up: the warming plate under the full pot side heats up when the single-serve brewer is used. So we keep water in the full pot at all times to avoid heating the glass pot while dry, which could make the glass brittle over time. The water is barely heated in the short one-cup brew cycle. This is not an issue for us since we so thoroughly enjoy this brewer. Compare to cost of other brands!

There are pros and cons to this coffee maker.
Pros: brews pretty fast, coffee is hot. I love that on the single side that you can brew different ways by using the gold filter or K cups. It’s pretty lightweight and easy to clean.
Cons: it doesn’t recognize the size of your mug on the single side. You can only put in enough water to brew your cup. If you add in too much, it either says “error” or it overflows. The way you have to put the K cups in is pretty dumb if you ask me. You push it down into the holder until it clicks. But then it has a big hole in it and you lose some of its contents. When it’s finished brewing, the whole K cup holder is incredibly hot. You either need an oven mitt or wait 10 minutes for it to cool down. The unit works very well. Does what it’s supposed to do. Design is flawed

So far im mostly pleased. Im really pleased with the K-Cup coffee it brews. I had read in some reviews of K-cup machines that they tend to brew a weak cup of coffee so that was a concern. Ive been pleasantly surprised with the strength of the K-cup coffee Ive brewed with this machine – Im using Starbucks Dark Roast (Summatra) and its been similar to taste I get in store.
However, I so far have not had good results with using ground coffee for brewing a single cup. The first time, I guess I tried to load too much ground coffee into the small reusable filter provided and the grounds overflowed into the coffee – not just a few but enough that I had to dump that cup and try again. Tried again with less grounds and avoided overflow but the coffee was weak and I noticed i still had significant coffee bean “silt” at the bottom of the cup? May be my error but it hasn’t worked well for me yet.
I havent yet tried to brew a full pot so cant comment on how that works.
Finally, the temp is fine for my liking (I do not like scalding hot coffee) and as I mentioned the K-cups taste good – that said if you like youre coffee really hot you might be disappointed. From reading reviews of other Kcup machines, it seems like this issue is not specific to this machine.
